Built for revision, not for the ward

Highlight is an educational reference and revision tool for medical students, foundation doctors, trainees and other qualified healthcare professionals. It is not a diagnostic tool and is not intended for patients or members of the public.

It must not be used for the diagnosis, treatment or management of any individual, at the point of care, or with real patient data. Content is a revision aid and does not replace clinical training, supervision, local guidelines or professional judgement.

Questions

The short answers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

Who is Highlight for?

Medical students, foundation doctors, core trainees, registrars and other healthcare professionals revising for their own education. It is not for patients.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no password and no email required. Your Pro subscription is linked to an anonymous identifier and can be restored from Settings.

What data do you collect?

Very little: a random installation identifier, your chosen training level, subscription status, which conditions you open (as counts), any votes you cast and basic device information. Anything you type into search or Differential Revision stays on your phone. You can delete everything from Settings → Delete My Data & Reset App.

Is Highlight a medical device?

No. Highlight is educational software for learning and revision. It does not take patient-specific inputs, produce patient-specific outputs, or support clinical decision-making. Read our Terms of Use for the full statement.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Condition content is cached on your device so you can revise without a connection.

How do I suggest a condition or report an error?

Use Vote on Conditions in the app to prioritise what we write next, or Send Feedback to report anything that looks wrong. You can also email info@medplay.co.uk.
